Kia ora, no te Whanganui ā Tara ahau, ko Te Awakairangi te awa, ko Rimutaka te maunga, ko Ngati Pakeha te iwi. Ko Alanie toku ingoa. Members of my whanau belong to Ngati Porou and Ngati Rangi.
I joined Te Matatini in January 2017 as the Executive Officer. My role is to support the National Board and Chief Executive as well as lead our Te Matatini staff in order to meet our strategic objectives.
My career highlights include being secretariat for the Māori Agribusiness Funding panel at the Ministry for Primary Industries as well as supporting the team responsible for the Māori Fisheries Regulations and attending hui with Iwi Leaders on fisheries matters whilst at the Ministry of Fisheries. Being part of the 2017 Te Matatini Festival was definitely a memorable moment in my time here at Te Matatini, and one I was always remember.
