TE MATATINI HERENGA WAKA HERENGA TANGATA NATIONAL KAPA HAKA FESTIVAL 2023

Te Matatini Incorporated Society has received confirmation that the following kapa haka have officially withdrawn from Te Matatini Herenga Waka Herenga Tangata Festival 2023.
They are:
โข Taniwharau
โข Hikurangi
โข Te Kapa Haka o Te Whanau a Kai
โข Te Matapihi
๐ฅ๐๐น๐ฒ ๐ฎ(๐ฏ)๐ถ๐ถ says that if rลpลซ from the National Festival withdraw the following applies:
๐ถ. No Kapa Haka may replace that withdrawn Kapa Haka
๐ถ๐ถ. All Kapa Haka will move up in the Order of Performance.
As a result of these withdrawals the goal is to firstly, balance out the Pools to ensure there is a fair playing field, and secondly to balance out the number of kapa haka performing per day. This is reflected in the changes to the programme, as per below.
