Te Whanganui-ā-Tara are experiencing challenging but exciting times as we near the hosting of Te Matatini 2019 beginning with the handover of the mauri. We have a new team for the upcoming Nationals and look forward to growing Kapa Haka for the future.
Responsibility to your Rohe:
My role is to represent Te Whanganui-ā-Tara as a national Te Matatini rep and report back to the Wellington Maori Cultural Society matters and issues pertaining to Kapa Haka. It is to encourage, nurture and maintain growth as well as support Kapa Haka in the rohe.
The wider Wellington to Ōtaki across to Rimutaka and Te Awakairangi.
