A Kahungunu-led initiative supported by Te Matatini

Local iwi, Ngāti Kahungunu and their Polynesian cousins, will present the dance and music of their cultures atop single and double hull waka (canoe) in the Ahuriri lagoon. A lantern floating ceremony to remember loved ones will conclude a memorable experience for all. Dress warm and wear sensible walking shoes. Arrive early. Beach chairs welcome. One performance only.
