Tāmaki Makaurau

About the Region

Tāmaki Makaurau Senior Kapa Haka Society Inc. produces and manages senior kapa haka’s biennial regional competition and supports Tāmaki Makaurau Primary (biennial), ASB Auckland Secondary Schools (annually in March), Te Ahurea Tino Rangatiratanga (annually in October) competitions through administration, event management  and as provision of judges.  

Responsibility to your Rohe:

To support the production, management and participation of community in kapa haka related events in the Tāmaki makaurau region.  To act as the mangai for senior kapa haka on Te Matatini board and to disseminate current information for regional development in a timely manner to Tāmaki key Tāmaki Makaurau kapa haka stakeholders.
