 Responsibility to your Rohe:

The Ngāti Kahungunu Runanga Arts and Culture Board serve all art forms throughout the rohe of Ngāti Kahungunu.

It acknowledges the mana of Te Reo Māori, whaikōrero, karanga, wairua, whakapapa, waiata, waiata kori, poi, haka, waiata-ā-ringa, pūoro, ngā mahi toi, visual arts, ngā mahi waka, whakairo, tukutuku, kōwhaiwhai, kanikani, tākaro, and media arts.  It seeks to restore rangatiratanga, reaffirm tikanga Māori and uphold mana Māori within the whānau, hapū and iwi of Ngāti Kahungunu.

The Te Matatini National Delegate represents the voice of kapa haka groups of Ngāti Kahungunu at the National level and feeds back to the Regional Committee.

Ngāti Kahungunu ki Heretaunga

Ngāti Kahungunu ki Te Wairarapa

The Kahungunu rohe is one of the largest boundaries in the North Island being the third lagest iwi of 65,000 Ngāti Kahungunu. There are 6 taiwhenua – Te Wairoa – Whanganui-ā-Orotu – Heretuanga – Tamatea – Tāmakinui-ā-Rua – Te Wairarapa
