Promoting Maori Performing Arts
Each year, Te Matatini provides support to help show case and promote Maori performing arts at a national and international level. These include supporting top performing kapa haka teams to attend international art events and expos and holding national concerts to showcase Maori performing arts.
In 2009/2010 Te Matatini will also develop a communications and promotions strategy to:
- promote kapa haka and Maori performing arts throughout New Zealand and internationally;
- re-establish Te Matatini’s reputation as a high performing, professional organisation; and
- meet stakeholders information needs and manage expectations.
